Went there recently. It was ok, not great. The three apps were $22.. and not that good honestly i mean they were ok. Humkus wasnt good. Muhamara was allright. Tsasiki had no cucumbers just sauce. the lamb skewers were dry for my friend. Service was great: they made me a regular lemonade and checked on us a few times quietly including owner. I feel like i used to prefer this place before.

This place is sooo good!! It has great Turkish dishes and the service was great! We got the cheese borek, lamb shoulder, and Manti Turkish dumplings. The borek was delicious and light. The lamb shoulder and Manti was amazing! Having been to Turkey a few times, I can say that this place is pretty close to authentic. Highly recommend to anyone!

I've only ever gotten take out from here but the staff is always nice and helpful. I got the chicken salad on a sunny day and it was the perfect choice, the portion itself was appropriate and the flavors all balanced each other. Will definitely be trying other items here, it is a little pricey for a salad (everything was very fresh) but in this area that's the price point.

Lived in the neighborhood many years but never tried this place. Been many times to La Mediterranee across the street for my Mediterranean food fix. They are similar, but La Mediterranee is better and has a greater variety of dishes. But Troy's did have two exceptional items. The Cheese Norek was a bit of a mid, excellent flaky pastry, but the cheese lacked flavor. On the up side the warm hummus with za'atar spiced lamb was fantastic. I could have eaten another bowl. I also had the chicken skewers which came with plenty of vegetables on the skewers, but the highlight was the spicy sauce on the rice. That was outstanding. I think is was underutilized as just on the rice, I'm thinking this should be a great combination with beef or lamb as well. Overall good, they just need stronger cheese.

I LOVE dip/spread samplers so this place got me excited for sure.. everything was sooo rich and flavorful, honestly one of the best Turkish restaurants I've been to in a while.. the kebab platters were delicious, and the sauces / spices they were served with made it exceptionally tasty.. I think the ratios were perfect as well.. you can get a perfect bite with a little bit of everything on it. The service was welcoming and friendly, and the day we went, there was a live DJ mixing some tunes so, great ambiance and overall experience.

It's been more than a decade since I last visited Troya although way back when it seemed like a good place to go. On entry this past Sunday, I found the venue to be light, airy, and beautifully appointed. Service was spot on and the restroom was spic and span. On to the food. Lentil soup was thick, tasty and served hot. And the four slices of pita that accompanied the soup were a nice addition. Roasted cauliflower came with scallions, grilled tzatziki & crispy mustard greens. A nice plate of subtly spiced food. For my main course I had baby rib lamb chops served with rosemary, roasted potatoes, and warm hummus. The lamb was lovely and brings me to my sole reservation regarding my meal. The serving apparently consisted of two double chops (two rib bones each chop). But the rib meat at the end of the bond had been cut such that only half the expected meat was present: two bones and the meat of only one. Kind of a sneaky thing it seemed to me. Hence four rather than five stars.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Came in right when the restaurant opened and was seated right away with no reservation needed. It does start to pick up 30 minutes after opening so I'd recommend coming in early or booking a reservation. I ordered the chicken kebab and it was delish! The plating itself is stunning. One thing that I did notice is that the dishes come in huge portions but the downside to this is that the tables are smaller than the size of the dishes so if you order more than 3 items on the menu be aware of spacing. Other than that I had a great meal+experience and can see myself coming back!

Ordered Troya for the first time and it did not disappoint! Very good Greek food. We got the chicken pita, Turkish fries and salmon skewers. The salmon skewers were healthy and very good quality. The Turkish fries were full of flavor. My husband enjoyed his pita and they gave us extra chicken and salad for free which was a very nice touch. Definitely want to go to the restaurant sometime and eat in person.

Troya is a Turkish restaurant on Fillmore Street in Pacific Heights. The atmosphere is trendy/bougie. Occasionally they have a DJ spinning. It is very stark white inside with a mural of a blond lady (basically the opposite of a more traditional, Turkish maximalist aesthetic). Troya has some of the best vegetarian Moussaka ($23). It is a large portion and a hardy dish served with rice, I often take some home with me. I love the addition of lentils and garbanzo beans, and I wish I had thought of that myself! The Moussaka is not photogenic and is particularly excellent during the rainy season. I know Turkish cuisine is rarely spicy but it could be improved with a side of chile flake (maybe a Urfa biber), and/or a small salad. The red lentil soup ($9) has good flavor and is a generous size, comes with a side of bread. The "Turkish Scramble" ($16) at brunch was also outstanding, I loved the flavors of tomato and mint blended with egg. My Turkish tea was made incorrectly at Troya, which really rubbed me the wrong way at first but eventually I got over it. It is clearly not a traditional restaurant. I have seen the neighborhood clientele coming by Troya for baklava and Turkish delights. I have never tried it here but it's popular.

Yummy!! Genuinely surprised by the strong flavors and spread at Troya. I love a Turkish breakfast but sometimes find that restaurants dish out mid-to-low quality ingredients on the platter. Troya's breakfast had the best tasting elements I've had in a Turkish breakfast, and each item was a perfect compliment to the next. The labne, bal and kaymak, and walnut onion dip were standouts. We also loved that they gave us cheese borek (pastry) with the simit bagel. Even the Turkish scramble held its own and was well spiced. For $60, this was a no brainer! The restaurant was fairly empty inside, but the sun patio was full and vibing. Kind and attentive service too! They paid attention to each and every element of our visit.
